Sherryn's First Survey - Happiness

Hi Everyone, As I go through life, I continually notice how similar we all are, it's like we are just different versions and intensities of each other.
This is supported by the fact that an over-whelming majority of people surveyed, all said the same thing.  When asked, what was the most important thing in life to them, their answer was, "Being Happy!"
Yes, being happy is more important to most people than, being in love, having children, being rich, being famous, being successful and even living a luxurious lifestyle.

But what is Happiness? Are you Happy? and if not, What would make you Happy? and if you are happy, What makes you Happy?
Please write back to me and answer the above questions, I have my beliefs and opinions and I would love to read yours and thank you for taking part in my very first survey of, Live The Life You Choose.

  1. Wow, great question, Sherryn! Happiness to me is people. Having people in my life to spend time with (be it friends or family.) People to share a laugh, adventure, a drink, yet also help you through loss or conflict. All the material things would be useless to me if I didn't have the people in my life to share it with.

  2. Fantastic, wow we are all searching for happiness :) and I definitely agree with Andrew, friends and family light up my soul, but also the simple things in life I can find happiness in; the smell of spring, the soothing sound of rain, the corny jokes from my teenage son, pulling out weeds from garden (I know weird)... but whilst these moments are unique to me, it's refreshing to hear that we are all on the same journey... Best wishes to everybody in finding happiness xx

  4. First of all, congratulations Sherryn on your blog and the work you're doing.

    Hello everyone.

Happiness is knowing I am ok even when life is swirling and storming around me. That there is still a presence of peace in my heart and de-light in my physical experience.

It is the ordinary things in my life which provide happiness and at the same time the grand things such as love.

But most of all it is through the act of giving, I receive and in receiving, I give - this is when I'm happiest.

  5. Hi all, this is a great question. What I strived for when I was younger, believing it would bring me happiness, is different now that I'm older.

Like everyone else, the simple things in life make me happy. A child laughing always puts a smile on my face and lights up my heart; having dinner with friends and family, a drink and a few laughs, nothing beats that; Seeing my dogs tail wag when I come home from work makes me happy. Like I said, the simple things in life.

  6. mmm, Happiness.... To me happiness is being able to be yourself, to feel comfortable with who you are and what you are doing, and then sharing that with the people that you love. Striving to do the things that you are most passionate about can help get you there.

  7. I think happiness starts within. You have to be happy within yourself before anything around you can begin to make you happy. I have to agree with all of the above, the simple things are the happiest times. I have learnt this from my beautiful Nan along with many other life stradegies. She has helped make me the person i am today. You are amazing and you are doing a great job. Keep up the inspirational posts, we all love them!
